Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has reportedly been released from custody in the United Kingdom after the woman who allegedly brought a sexual-offence case against him withdrew her complaint, social media influencer Peller has claimed.
Peller made the claim during a livestream while responding to a question about Poco Lee’s reported detention in the UK.
“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case,” Peller said.
He also claimed that the complainant’s withdrawal resulted in the dancer’s release.
“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” he added.
Poco Lee had previously been reported to be on remand in a UK prison, with a plea hearing scheduled for September following allegations of sexual offences.
However, Peller’s account of the complainant withdrawing the case and Poco Lee subsequently being released has not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.
The reported development therefore remains unverified.
