Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen was reportedly angered after accidents involving his pregnant partner, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, and their daughter, Hailey True, became public, Turkish sports journalist Ali Naci Küçük has said.
Speaking on the Dici Futbol YouTube channel, Küçük said the Nigeria international was unhappy with the attention surrounding his family, who he prefers to keep out of public discussion.
“The accidents his wife and then his daughter were involved in, and the subsequent publicization of these events, angered Osimhen greatly,” Küçük said, according to Habersarikirmizi.
He added that Osimhen had faced the Gençlerbirliği match under difficult psychological circumstances and was affected by the criticism directed at him.
“Osimhen is not someone who likes his family to be the subject of discussion. Despite playing the Gençlerbirliği match under difficult psychological conditions, the heavy criticism he received affected him,” Küçük said.
Ladewig was reportedly involved in a car accident in Istanbul in recent days, while the couple’s young daughter underwent surgery for a broken foot.
Küçük’s comments suggest that the public attention surrounding the incidents has added to the pressure on the striker, although he did not provide further details about Osimhen’s response.
