Fulham defender Calvin Bassey believes his side missed an opportunity to claim all three points after their 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday.
The Super Eagles centre-back praised Fulham’s performance away from home but pointed to missed chances as the reason they could not secure victory.
“A good away performance, we know how hard it is to come here against a team with a lot of quality. I’m proud of the boys, they did well,” Bassey told Fulham’s official website.
“We should have got more, missed two chances inside the six-yard box,” he added.
Aston Villa took the lead six minutes before half-time through Nicolas Jackson, who converted an assist from Johan Manzambi.
Fulham responded four minutes after the hour mark when Zion Suzuki scored an own goal to restore parity.
The result extended Fulham’s run to seven points from their last three league matches.
