ADC chieftain calls Tinubu pictures on Niger Bridge ‘sycophancy taken too far’

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Anambra State, Ndubuisi Nwobu, has criticised Works Minister Dave Umahi over a directive to place photographs of President Bola Tinubu on the First Niger Bridge after its rehabilitation.

Nwobu said the directive amounted to excessive praise for the President, arguing that the rehabilitation was funded with public money.

“The money used in the maintenance of the bridge is not Tinubu’s personal money. The money belongs to the entire citizens of this country,” he said.

He also argued that displaying Tinubu’s photographs would not give the All Progressives Congress (APC) a political advantage, saying voters would decide whom to support at the polls.

Umahi had directed that photographs of Tinubu be displayed on the bridge upon completion of the rehabilitation work.
