Primate Ayodele Calls Tinubu’s Fuel Discount a Sign of Confusion, Warns of Hardship

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has described the Federal Government’s proposed 30-day petrol discount as a sign of confusion, warning that another term for President Bola Tinubu would bring greater hardship to Nigerians.

Ayodele made the remarks on Friday in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, in which he accused the administration of struggling to address the country’s challenges.

He argued that the temporary fuel discount would offer little meaningful relief and alleged that the President was taking measures aimed at securing re-election.

“Tinubu’s government is on the verge of failure; the petroleum discount is nothing. I have said he will do anything to bail himself out for a second term,” the cleric said.

Ayodele also accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of desperation to win the next election, alleging confusion within the party over its strategy.

He further claimed that the proposed discount indicated an attempt to return to fuel subsidies and urged Tinubu to exercise caution over campaign activities.

“APC is very desperate for this election; they want to win by all means, and there is confusion,” he said.

The cleric also predicted that a second Tinubu administration would worsen the country’s economic difficulties, claiming that Nigerians would face a crisis more severe than the current situation.

“Tinubu’s second term will bring serious hardship to Nigeria, and there are signs already. This is not a prophecy said out of hatred but what God has shown me,” Ayodele said.

The Federal Government’s proposed 30-day petrol discount is intended to provide relief amid rising fuel prices and the cost of living.
