Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris has described Arsenal as the best team in Europe ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Mikel Arteta’s men on Saturday night.
Le Bris made the remarks during his pre-match press conference, where he praised Arsenal’s recent form and the momentum they have built.
“I think they [Arsenal] are in great form right now. They are currently the best team in Europe,” Le Bris said.
The Sunderland boss also highlighted Arsenal’s recent performance against Napoli, which he said demonstrated the quality of Arteta’s side.
“For example, their performance [against Napoli] was impressive. It seems they have achieved five consecutive wins, and this momentum is truly remarkable,” he added.
Le Bris will now prepare his Sunderland side for the challenge of facing an Arsenal team he considers to be at the top of European football.
The Premier League fixture is scheduled for Saturday night.
