A mini-truck driver from Ado-Ekiti, Adeleye Adeniyi, says he borrowed N3.5 million to support the re-election campaigns of President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Ekiti State House of Assembly member Steve Fatoba.
Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, disclosed this in an interview circulating on Friday, displaying a cardboard cheque indicating N2 million for Tinubu, N1 million for Bamidele and N500,000 for Fatoba.
He said his decision was based on what he considered the politicians’ performance in office and pledged to campaign for them ahead of the forthcoming elections.
“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job,” Adeniyi said.
He also said he would use a campaign song to promote Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Adeniyi appealed to Nigerians to vote for Tinubu, Bamidele and Fatoba, expressing confidence that another term for the President would bring further benefits.
“I will appeal to my fellow Nigerians that we should demonstrate love by giving him, by voting him for his second term in office, because we are still going to see much more, more than what we have received,” he said.
