The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of 16 candidates cleared to contest the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.
The list, released on Saturday, October 10, 2026, includes Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abimbola Adekanmbi of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) and Abdulrahman Oriyomi Hamzat of the Accord Party.
Other candidates include Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Akim Adebola Yusuf of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and Hazeem Ola Gbolarumi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The 16 candidates represent different political parties competing for control of the Oyo State Government House in Agodi.

- Taofeek Ademola Afolabi — National Rescue Movement (NRM)
- Hazeem Ola Gbolarumi — Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
- Kazeem Ayandoye Yinusa — People’s Redemption Party (PRP)
- Idowu Adedeji Adeyemi — Young Progressives Party (YPP)
