Vidal Slams Jorge Jesus Over Cristiano Ronaldo Exit

Former Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has criticised Portugal coach Jorge Jesus over the handling of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the national team camp.

Speaking on his stream, Vidal described Jesus as a “shame” and “very bad”, insisting that the Portugal manager should have protected Ronaldo.

Ronaldo recently left the Portugal camp during the UEFA Nations League. The 41-year-old forward said he would reveal the circumstances surrounding his departure in the coming days.

“It’s a real shame. I think the coach is very bad,” Vidal said.

“You have to take care of Cristiano, protect him, a player who gave everything to Portugal, who placed the country as one of the best teams in the world.

“A player like that can’t leave like that,” he added.
