Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped without injury after being involved in a road accident near the club’s training ground in Cottingham on Friday morning.
The Wales international was reportedly driving on Millhouse Wood Lane, close to Hull City’s training facilities, when his vehicle overturned. Images from the scene later surfaced on social media, prompting concern among supporters.
In response, Hull City issued a statement confirming that the 27-year-old had not been harmed in the incident.
The club said it was aware of the photographs circulating online and reassured fans that Thomas emerged from the accident without sustaining any injuries.
While confirming the player’s safety, Hull City did not provide additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Thomas recently joined the Tigers from Stoke City on transfer deadline day and has already made two appearances for the club.
He made his first appearance as a substitute in Hull’s goalless league draw against Aston Villa before earning a starting role in the team’s Carabao Cup fixture against Sunderland earlier this week. The winger completed the full match despite Hull suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat.
Hull City have enjoyed an encouraging start to the season, picking up seven points from their opening three league fixtures while maintaining a perfect defensive record.
The Tigers opened their campaign with victories over Manchester United and Coventry City before securing a draw against Aston Villa.
The club is scheduled to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, although it has yet to be confirmed whether Thomas will be included in the matchday squad following the incident.
