Nollywood actor Amokade Olatayo, popularly known as Ijebu, has publicly appealed for forgiveness from anyone he may have offended, following the reported death of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo.
Ijebu made the emotional appeal in a video shared on Instagram on Monday morning, where he reflected on the uncertainty of life and the need for people to resolve their differences while they still have the opportunity to do so.
The actor said he woke up with a heavy heart and described the situation as a reminder that life is temporary.
According to him, the loss prompted him to think deeply about relationships, disagreements and the possibility of leaving unresolved issues behind.
Ijebu particularly extended his appeal to people within the Nigerian movie industry, asking those he may have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly, to forgive him.
“Good morning, everyone. My heart is so heavy this morning. I have been awake since 6 a.m. My heart is so heavy,” he said.
Although he did not provide details of any specific disagreement or identify anyone he believed he had offended, the actor’s message centred on reconciliation and the fleeting nature of human life.
He urged people to look beyond conflicts and embrace forgiveness, stressing that circumstances can change unexpectedly.
